Good to see Grenada Chocolate back in production after the island was hit by hurricane Ivan. Apparently they also now have a new gas powered roaster to replace the old wood powered one. Don’t worry though; the beans were in a sealed container so the smoke from the wood never directly affected the beans, although it might have reached the beans in storage above the roasting room, so the new gas fired roaster should eliminate some smoke notes and give them a bit more control.
I’ve heard already the new chocolate is cleaner and finer, though we haven’t got to try any yet. Look forward to giving it a try and letting you know.
