Connoisseurs Club monthly tasting, Venezuelan Black special – 8 April 2008

Our regular monthly tasting event, with an introduction to fine chocolate and sampling of the latest chocolate bars featured in our monthly Connoisseurs Club, plus this month’s special featured product -  Venezuelan Black cacao liquor from Willie Harcourt-Cooze, as featured in the UK Channel 4 TV series Willie’s Wonky Chocolate Factory.

We’ll be sampling Willie’s unrefined ‘bars’ in their raw state, as well as trying them in hot chocolate, a dessert recipe and truffles. We’ll also be trying finished Venezuelan chocolate from some of the best chocolate makers, made using beans from nearby regions and similar varieties to Willie’s

The formal part of the tasting will be followed by chocolate related chat in the Kitchen bar and we’ll also have some of our range available for purchase.
