We’re looking for volunteers to blog on Seventypercent.com about their experiences during Chocolate Week and to report on events in their local area. Get in touch with us now if you’re interested.
As part of Seventypercent’s Chocolate Week programme, the London member rooms of the Scotch Malt Whisky Society will be opening their doors to non-members for daily sampling of matching fine chocolate and Society whiskies.
And if you sign up for Society membership while you’re there, you’ll receive four fine chocolate bars to go with your introductory whiskies.

We’re adding an extra date to our growing country chocolate season with Melt Chocolates in a one-off Chocolate Week special, where we’ll be featuring one of the most promising of the new growing country makers, Pacari from Ecuador.

Chocolate Week is with us again, with events around the UK and the UK’s first fine chocolate exhibition – Chocolate Unwrapped.

At first seemingly odd bedfellows, the range of possible combinations and flavours from fine cheese and chocolate make for fascinating, at times challenging, but often sublime results. In this joint event with London cheese shop La Cave à Fromage, we take chocolate matching to another level by pairing fine chocolate and artisanal farmhouse cheese, with a little wine thrown in for good measure.

This month’s featured chocolate made in a growing country is Santander of Colombia, a lesser known cacao origin, but one with some great beans.
Following a recent visit to Santander’s beautiful highland experimental cacao farm, Martin Christy will introduce fine chocolate and give a talk with photos and samples from his trip, all accompanied by Melt’s Santander house truffle, a glass of wine and a goody bag to take away.
