It seems we are missing a general topic for random chocolate festivals the world over - so I thought I'd create one.

This past weekend (4-5 March 2006) the 3rd annual Chocolate Festival was held in Linköping, Sweden. Apparently there were over 7000 visitors - the place was packed. Among the exhibitors present were Amedei, Bonnat, Callebaut, Chocovic, Dolfin, Michel Cluizel, Valrhona, Plantations, Galler, Santander, Domori as well as various chocolatiers of all shapes and sizes.

I find it interesting how the brand representatives gave me very different receptions - without naming any bad guys, I was particularly impressed by the PR-skills of Amedei and Domori. Questions were answered knowledgably and with a mutual interest, new bars were happily opened that I might sample everything. I was even given a discount from Amedei :-)

I'm already looking forward to next year!
