one of the shops here in munich wants to offer something less expensive than cluizel, domori and the rest and i suggested cemoi. apparently it's hell getting it though. the shop owner said he'd have to just buy some boxes when he went to france next.

strange that cemoi isn't more well known. they make good chocolate at a fair price. i had some in france this summer and a bar cost 1.09 eur/100g.
i mean it doesn't rank with domori, but it is fair and square ;-)

Has anyone tried their truffles? It's probably heresy to ask on this board, i'm sure, because their ingredient list is ..um..not exactly what I'd call 'pure' (85% fat, palm oil listed as first ingredient...) BUT when I went to the NYC Chocolate Show last week (HEAVENLY MIGHT I ADD- hope to post pics soon) I tried a sample. And bought 2 boxes. My GOD they're good.

"Oh, what a noble mind is here o'erthrown..."

It's annoying how chains like Waitrose stop carrying good products on a whim. It might by hard for Cemoi to compete with the buying power of the likes of Green & Black's and Duchy Originals though. Recently Loseley's wonderful organic Orange Truffle ice cream (with real pieces of chocolate truffle) disappeared for I think the same reasons.

We'll keep a look out for it though.

This is the most amazing chocolate I have ever tasted. Anyone know where you can get it now that Waitrose seems to have stoped selling it?
