I just got the chance to browse through an article about Tcho in the journal O Estado do Sao Paulo (March 13 issue) where they present Timothy Childs and most particularly Louis Rossetto, founder of Wired magazine as the owners behind Tcho. He presents a surprising fact: thanks to the internet, they have a chance to maintain contact with cocoa producers at various parts of the world...
The same page has another article about Claudio Corallo's family. If someone's in need, I have the pdf of the articles.

I finally bit the bullet and ordered some, just to satisfy my curiousity.

My husband asked if there was a spot on their feedback form for "yuck" and I'd have to agree.

Now, to be fair, "chocolatey" is probably my least favorite characteristic in chocolate, since I tend to like fruity and citrusy and acidic chocolates, which is not what they are aiming for with this release.

I'll post more details when I can bring myself to try another piece. But it doesn't even smell good.
