Unilever is the company behind Magnum icecream. I've not tried Magnum Equador Dark yet. Will tell you more when I have tried it. Anyone who knows about other ingredients in this Magnum icecream.

I have tried Eskimo made of Madagascar vanilla and covered with 66% Valrhona Gran Crus chocolate. This icecream cost twice as much as Magnum but it's worth it. It's made by Hansen Flødeis, an artisanal icecream maker from Denmark.

Is this the company that makes like 10 different chocolate icecreams or gelatos? If it is the same company I think I tried them at a trade show recently...

Hello all!
Have you tried the Magnum Equador Dark yet?

I was so surprised (& happy) that finally 'fine' chocolate is entering its way in the ice cream genre! Just goes to show that the market for 'fine chocolate' is broadening big time, that biggies want to flog it too! And naming its origin!? When most people don't have a clue about origins as a subject to start with? Well, thats rather educational of them I think.

Taste wise, I thought it was delicately dark, good sheen and colour, with satin-like melt.

If anyone else here tried it, I want to know what you thought!
