Came to the same conclusion last week! I got a huge case of fresh oranges for £10 and now have several kilos of the best ever orange peel waiting to be enrobed!

Snippetts of the process can be seen on our facebook page! http://www.facebook.com/pages/.....316?ref=ts

I'll add updates when they're dried and enrobed, but first tastings reveal a full, rounded orange flavour, without bitterness or acidity and a pleasing firm bite which (IMO) is always missing from the overly soft commercial offerings.

God knows if I can keep it up through Christmas though!!!

Hi Guys,

Does anyone have an alternative supplier of candied orange other than HB (who seem to have lost the plot completely since moving premises! ).

Preferably non-dextrose, in anything from 1kg to 10kg packs.

Thank you.
