I would be quite sorry if my comment above suggests sarcasm. I therefore wish to clarify my previous comment by being clearer…

‘Martin Christy and Seventypercent.com will host an evening of tasting, talks and demos with the talented Mr Curley – UK Chocolatier of the year for the second year running’ (Taken from ‘Tea, chocolate and sake with the talented Mr Curley and seventypercent.com-Tuesday, September 30th, 2008, The Pod )

I therefore took it as fact that W.C. and the administrator of this site knew each other quite well and thought it surprising that two weeks had surpassed without an answer to the original question. That’s all I meant to comment on. Honest.[;)]

I was surprised to find out that william Curley was bought last year by Sir Evelyn de Rotschild who invested about £400k in exchange for a whopping 75% of the shares. Good deal? Bad deal?

There is definitively a trend of chocolatiers getting bought by larger corporations or "angels". Is that the future for chocolatiers who want to expand?
