Both are acceptable things to replace corn syrup...Glucose is, ususally, just a corn syrup that has a higher percentage of glucose to other sweeteners. Gold syrup is supposed to be very similar and I know many from the Uk that use that instead of corn syrup...either is acceptable...
It depends on what you are making that would decide which one is better for a specific recipe.

Newbie here - feeling rather green & I haven't even tasted my first efforts yet!

Does anyone know the UK equivalent of corn syrup as used in US recipes?

I've looked on the net & some say you can use golden syrup as an alternative but then others say to use glucose.

Does anyone know for sure?
