Hello all!

It's been some time since I've last posted on here, but here we go...

I came across an online store called "A Taste for Chocolate" where you can purchase Amedei, Valrhona, etc and was wondering if they were good to buy from? Has anyone heard of them or ordered from them?

Thanks for your help!

Seperate forum would make sense. That way its more like a catalogue to browse, than spam to pick through

You should visit Paul a Young at 33 Camden Passage, Islington (Angel is nearest tube station). He sells bars from Red Star Chocolate and a few other companies like Mast Brothers, probably also bars from Amedei, Amano, Valrhona and his own brand. I visited this shop October 2010. Read more about this shop:

http://worldchocolateguide.com.....n-passage/

Duffy’s Chocolate Honduras Indio rojo 72% from Red Star Chocolate recently won a Golden Bean Award at Academy of Chocolate Awards.

Harvey Nichols at Knightsbridge is another distrubutor of Red Start Chocolate (The Fifth Floor Foodmarket). Her you can find Amedei and a few other chocolate brands.

You can find bars from L'Artisan du Chocolat at Selfridges , Oxford Street.

Amano is sold by Fortnum & Mason.

Try World Chocolate Guide looking for Chocolate Shops in London.

http://worldchocolateguide.com/

Maybe this can help a bit.

Hi everyone, I am quite new to dark chocolate, but will be in London for an overnite this week and would like to visit a couple of shops and pickup a few plain bars and expand my knowledge.

Bars I have liked so far: Hotel Chocolat Chuao, Amano Madagasca and Amedei 9

I will be arriving/leaving Euston and staying at Camden Loch and will not have much time to shop + don't know my way about London or the tube service.

Ideally, I would like to be able to go to a shop that sells not just it's own brand (would be nice to manage one though), but would still want to get some William Curley, Paul A.Young, Valrhona, Domori and anything good.

(Is Fortnum & Masons own branded bars worth checking out and do they sell others?)

Is there a Chocolate & Love retail outlet?

Could anyone advise places to go (with nearest tube) and bars I should/must try.

Thanx

Hi James,

I must be the smallest chocolate maker in the world as there is only me. I have the equipment to make small test batches (for which I need 1kg of beans) and bigger batches of 30kg or so. If you want any trials doing then contact me through my web-site http://www.redstarchocolate.co.uk I could probably help with the early stages at least.

Regards,

I've since discovered Chocolate and Love, one of this site's sponsors, who will deliver Amedei to Australia. I've placed an order with them, so until it arrives I can't comment on how good they are, but in the dealings i've had with them so far I've been quite satisfied.

Dear Seventypercent Members,

Our company is based in Vanuatu (South Pacific). We are looking for a Chocolate Bar manufacturer to produce our exciting range of "South Pacific Blend" Chocolates.

Can anyone assist in finding a small/medium size company interested in manufacturing our products? ideally we are looking at anything between single serve 10gram bars up to 50-60 gram bars. Initial trial run will be between 2000-5000 units with future orders from 1 pallet up to one 20' FCL shipping container. Need not be labeled at the trial stage, just plain packaging is fine for the initial run.

Target market is the United States with also interested distributors in place in Europe.

I appreciate any leads or questions from interested manufacturers.

regards,
