I’m new to the board and am so excited that I found a forum like this! I’m working on my business plan to open a chocolate cafe in Los Angeles. The idea is similar to Bittersweet Chocolate Cafe. I’m trying to get better sales figures for the number of customers that will be coming into the store. I’m looking to open one block off of a touristy area in Los Angeles. Can any of you share how many customers walk through their door assuming the store is in a high traffic area? For slow months, I projected 3000 customers a week and for high peak months it would be 5000 customers. I’m at a stand still and would appreciate any advice from someone that’s already in the chocolate business. Thanks so much!

I’m sorry I can’t answer your question about customers in a store, but I am interested to know if you have opened your store. I’m planning on moving to the LA area later this year and would love to know about a chocolate cafe. I’ve only read about Bittersweet, but would love to visit.
So, how’s it going?
