OfflineHi all,
I’m a new member and just wanted to say hi. I’ve only just discovered this forum, so I’m taking a bit of time to read back…so much to take in!
I set up a small online chocolate business in the UK 6 months ago, and although all feedback is very good from those who have tried our product, the evil Google has as yet only got us up to the 4th page when searching for handmade chocolates, and online sales are slow.
I’m wary of taking on the financial responsibility of a shop so soon, but I think it will become necessary to make a decent living at it…any online wizzes out there who can give me some tips (other than links) to increase my page rank?
Look forward to “speaking” with you all and picking your collective brains on my many challenges to come!

OfflineGreetings new member.
I am sure people told you about SEO and different techniques …. thats a good thing. Make sure you use <h1> tags, make sure you use the “alt” property for links and images. generate a sitemap and submit it to google. put new content on your page and keep it new. start a blog. write about your craft and form articles. create backlinks at other pages that have a similar interest.
chocolate is in everyones word these days and you will need at least a year to get anywhere in the major search engines. oh – news and media are a good way to gain trafic. local newspapers that feature you nd your product and create backlinks to your site are worth gold.
good luck
