Hi all, just a quick hello. It’s the first time I’ve posted to the Forum section
I’m off to Slatterys in Manchester from 20 to 24 November for 5 days in total. I came across them through postings on this web site actually and thought I’d sign up. Firstly for my own interest as I’d love to learn how to do this, and then if I really enjoyed it to develop it over time perhaps.
Is anyone else booked in for any of these dates? I’m taking 4 courses over the week (1 x 2 days and 3 x 1 day).
Any feedback welcome and is there anything any of you can recommend to read or research before I go?
And finally if there are any potential classmates out there please let me know. I’m going on my own so it’d be nice to “cybermeet” you beforehand!

Hi Jo, I’ve just been to Slatterys at the beginning of the month. I did the essential skills and the advanced skills course. I really enjoyed it! It’s absolutely amazing in there, the shop is really something to aspire to! Do you know who is taking your course? Is it John Costello? If it is, he is a true master in his field, and he has all the answers to all your questions! I hope you enjoy it as much as I did! Have fun! Sarah x

Thanks Sarah – I’d read good reports from others on here as well so I’m really looking forward to it now. I’m taking the two add-on courses in desserts and cakes, as well as the two you did. They’re all being run in the same week and as I live at the far side of the country it was a good opportunity to get them all in! I’ll let you know how it goes – I don’t know who the teacher is though.
