Calling all Chocoholics in the Cheshire/Manchester Area!

On Tuesday 19th September I am holding a Chocolate Appreciation Evening in order to raise money for Forgotten Children International. This is one of the world’s largest charities working to help blind, deaf and disabled children in developing countries

The Chocolate Appreciation Experience is a unique event. It is entertaining, informative and fun; a great “night out”. An event like this cannot be complete without eating large quantities of chocolate. This includes generous sampling of fine top-grade chocolate that varies from a combination of organic sources, high cocoa solid content, estate select chocolate, and some interesting surprises! This is a memorable occasion and is always very well received. It is ideal for any chocolate lover. A unique, original, memorable, fun, educational and captivating experience…it’s just damm good!!

Presented by a Master Chocolatier and professional after-dinner speaker covering:

Irreverent potted history of cocoa and chocolate

How chocolate is made, from the cocoa tree to the taste buds

See and taste real cocoa beans, cocoa butter and cocoa liquor

Learn to tell the difference between outstanding chocolate and mediocre chocolate

Hear some of those “how did they do that?” tricks and mysteries in chocolate making

Sampling and tasting various grades of plain/dark couvertures and chocolate

More sampling of a variety of grades of milk and white chocolate

Learn how fine truffles, dipped and moulded chocolates are made

Be able to tell the difference between machine produced and hand-crafted chocolates

Sample some truffles and pralines !

And finally, round it all off with a good measure of fresh cream chocolates and other hand made chocolates

There will be lots of opportunities for questions on anything about chocolate. Also, there is a good chance that you will voluntarily and enthusiastically double your daily calorie quota!

If you would like to come along the event is going to be held at:

The Thistle Hotel, Wilmslow Road,
Handforth, Manchester, SK9 3LG
Tuesday 19th September, 7.00pm – 10.30pm
Tickets – £20

Includes £15 of luxury chocolate for you to sample and take home!
£10 of your ticket cost is donated to Forgotten Children International

To purchase your ticket please contact Laura on 07920 248 993 or LThompson@cbmuk.org.uk

Tasting of chocolates will not be suitable for those with nut allergies
