I am pleased to announce details of the 2007 UK Chocolatiers Conference which is to be held on Monday 16th July in London at the Westminster Kingsway College in Vincent Square.

Sessions include:

Teach Your Customers to Taste the Difference:
Damian Allsop – Top Chocolatier and member of the Academy of Chocolate- explores ways to teach your customers how to taste and appreciate good quality chocolate.

Bean to Bar in a Solar Powered Chocolate Factory:
Mott Green – Grenada Chocolate Company - gives a fascinating insight on how the Grenada Chocolate Company produces bars from local cocoa beans on this small Caribbean island.

Gift Wrapping Workshop:
Arona Khan – internationally recognised as the world’s foremost gift wrapping expert. This session includes a demonstration of gift wrapping, bow making, gift baskets, merchandising and display ideas.

Chocolate Champion: Man With A Mission
William Curley – the UK’s ‘Chocolatier of the Year’ will talk about his career and his mission to improve the market for quality chocolate in the UK with his recent acquisition of the Chocolate Society.

Trading Standards:
A presentation and discussion of trading standard issues affecting chocolatiers, including labelling, classification of fair-trade & organic products, regulations concerning packaged goods, etc.

Building a Chocolate Business:
David Jones – Hansel and Gretel Candy Kitchen, Georgia, USA
Hansel & Gretel Candy Kitchen started in 1973 as a tiny shop in an alley in Helen, Georgia. The owners were a young couple, David and Janet Jones, who were full of enthusiasm, but had no idea how to make candy. David reveals some of the secrets of their success.
