Can anyone recommend any chocolate shops worth visiting in Amsterdam? I’m going to be there at the weekend and interested to check out any chocolatiers.

cheers.

Yesterdays news but maybe it can help:

Washington Post covered chocolate in Amsterdam a few years ago:

Extract from The Choco Luxe Guide 2005:

quote:

PUCCINI BOMBONI When I lived in Amsterdam, I had a small sideline smuggling these chocolates to American friends. The three spare, sophisticated shops (two in Amsterdam, one in Haarlem) sell fresh confections with flavors like gin, tamarind, fig, and lemongrass, but it’s the chocolate-crunch caramels that now have me making smugglers out of friends.

You can use Google maps and search for chocolate in Amsterdam.

Unlimited delicious serve wonderful thick spicy hot chocolate. Puccini is good but different. More sophisticated. Good curls/purls/extras. Truffles are enormous.
