Hello, my name is Lila and I am based in Austin, TX. I am a SMALL chocolatier (just starting out) working with El Rey chocolate. I am a HUGE fan of their products and have a nice relationship with El Rey head of sales in Fredricksburg, TX. Their headquarters is in Fredricksburg, TX about one hour from my house. I love visiting and sampling. I have a good supplier here and want to possibly find some partners abroad to distribute my products that feature El Rey Chocolate. I don’t know if this is possible logistically. I have to look into the shipping costs and customs because the regulations and costs could be prohibitive. It would be nice to work with some El Rey fans abroad. I decided on Hilliard’s equipment. The name of my company is Arte Y’ Chocolate we have bark, clusters and molded candies artistically rendered (dark is our favorite 70+) We want to construct a website ASAP. Exporting food stuffs isn’t for the part timer or faint of heart – it’s incredibly involved. If this is of interest to you, you might want to find an export lawyer to work with to make sure you’re not feeding the customs agents 8-)

If you’re interested in spreading your products, then I would perhaps give El Paso a try. This is where I currently live, and there’s a gourmet foods store nearby that might be interested in selling your products. Although they do sell other chocolate items, they lack products from a “local” business and maybe that would attract some attention. If you’re interested, let me know.
