Hi all. I am looking for a guitar/praline cutter (different names, same animal) from any company other than Savy-Goiseau or Matfer (both are beautiful machines, but at $3,000 a machine, want to explore my options).
Anyone know of any? Thanks, and enjoy the holidays.

[8] Grim as it may be, I havent seen one much lower. Certainly these overgrown cheese cube cutters have to be more reasonably priced. I am wondering if the Matfer and other companies have patents on these items. [/[8][:(]
Maybe there is room for a ProSumer version similar to what just happened in the Chocolate fountain biz with Sephra. ( http://www.sephra.com/ )A great professional line with at least 4 choices for the consumer. Now they are coming out with more adjunctive party type products as well.

Have a look at Prefamac.com (in Belgium).
I think 1 base + 1 arm should cost 1700 EUR (depending on what size). But it’s a very heavy tool and the transport could be very expensive…

I second the recommendation for Prefamac. I bought my guitar from them (w/ 3 cutting frames) about 4 years ago. The total cost including shipping to US was about $1000. However, this was when the Euro was 1:1 w/ the US Dollar…..Good luck.

It almost looks like a single style from Martelatto in Italy(just based on the logo ( http://www.martellato.com/ )). I’ve asked the seller the name of the maker and availability of spare parts.
Thank you. Maybe one of these type will show up on the used market. So far my 100 polycarbonate BonBon/Praline/Truffle molds from Belgiim, Italy and China are wroking hard. Just hard to justify the $1,800 to go this way.
Just added see page 59 of the Martellato general catalog. Also see page 84 for a truffle “PALLINATORE•BALLMACHINE” – Anyone have experience with something like this? Maybe you can make-a-meat-a-balls-a too.
BTW at the last big IBIE in Las Vegas 2004 http://www.bakingexpo.com/ Martellato had a booth and was looking for US distributors. They seem like such a great bunch of guys and have some real unique products.

Hi All, I actually make a Guitar Cutter with three frames (16mm, 24mm and 32mm), and the table size is approx 300mm x 300mm. The price is AUD$1850.00 + Postage, and I am happy to ship worldwide. I am based near Melbourne. As yet, I do not make any other chocolate equipment, but talk to me anyway. I am actually a maker of fine furniture but I started making Guitars to help my cousin out who has a chocolate business in Canberra, and word got around from there.
