i also had wanted a tempering machine so i emailed hilliard. here is a copy of their reply:
The tempering melters are available in 3 sizes that are rated in how many kg per (8 hour) day they can temper. The 36 kg per day model holds 8 kg at one time and costs $5,500.00 US Dollars. The 110 kg per day machine holds 16 kg at one time and sells for $6,500.00 US Dollars. The largest unit that we make can melt 270 kg per day and hold 40 kg at one time. It sells for $9,100.00 US Dollars. We do not have representatives in the UK. You would purchase directly from us. The machines are designed to be easily serviced by you or a local electrician. We stock repair parts and have step by step instructions to repair any problem. The machine comes with spare parts and a one year parts warranty.
I can get a freight quotation when you choose which model you are considering. We do not collect and duties or taxes. Let us know if you have any further questions.
I was totally gutted that it is soo expensive! If anyone knows where i could get one for up to £600, please tell me. I am not keen on getting equipment like Revolution cos I hear it breaks often and it would be silly and expensive to send it for repair from U.K.
