I'm just working on an update to a book that lists and reviews chocolatiers from around the world. I'd welcome any contributions or recommendations for chocolatiers who could be added to the list of entries, from any countries around the world.

The update is a good chance to showcase leading chocolatiers working with high quality fine chocolate, and to show how much the fine and origin chocolate movement has advanced in the last few years.

The deadline is tight, so please post as soon as you can. Any chocolatiers interested will need to send samples and details to me in the UK.

Thanks in advance for your help.

I think i've got the solution. Send the chocolates to me (I'm in PA), and I'll review them for him - doesn't cost me anything to email the review 😉

I'm here to help.

Sending samples for review and photography is a must to be in (or stay in) the book I'm afraid!

I'll be emailing you chocolatiers shortly with details. If you don't have your email address registered here, please email me.

In the meantime I'm still looking forward to some suggestions from chocolate fans as to their favourite chocolatiers from around the world.

Sebastian,
"Send the chocolates to me (I'm in PA)"

Where in PA are you? I work in Perkasie and live in Philadelphia (East Falls)... I might give you a sample of the Guittard chocolate we have :)

Martin:
A book such as this was the reason I got into chocolate. Can you tell us the title?

It was first published around 1995, and was known as 'The Chocolate Companion'. The second edition is out in the US now with the same title, and will shortly be out in the UK under the title 'The Connoisseur's Guide to Chocolate' (bit of a bandwagon title that, and not really accurate.)

The author is Chantal Coady, I helped to update this edition. You'll find it Amazon, etc.

Well now, wouldn't that be fun! I get chocolate samples all the time from companies wanting me to carry their line, and I'm telling you... its possible to be sick of it :)

hi martinc, here are a few great chocolate shops in montreal:
les chocolats de chloe (her website is fantastic! very cute! she uses valrhona)
les chocolats genvieve grandbois (sexy)
la maison cacao (traditional)

here in new zealand my chocolate shop is trying to stand out - we're http://www.xocolatl.co.nz and the website is er, hideous, but we're working on it.
