Have you tried the chocolate yourself? I was wondering if anyone had an opinion towards the chocolate they make because I have never tried it…Just shout out if anyone has tried this brand…

Hi, Robert it’s the chocolate gal here again!! Yes, I’m very familiar with Belcolade, it’s a nice chocolate from Belgium, and they have a US company making domestic chocolate called Debelis, which is in fact quite good for the domestic market, it’s affordable and decent chocolate. I still favor my Cocoa Barry for my own chocolates but currently use the Debelis for my day job. Belcolade is I’d say (for me) on a scale of 1-10, 10 being best and Valrhona being a 9.5, I would give Belcolade about 8. Just my 2 cents. I know a lot of pastry chefs that use it because it’s less expensive than some of the more premium chocolates but is still a top grade chocolate.

Belcolade produces from liquor, not from beans
I think most of their liquor comes from Cargill…
