I made the discovery that Coppeneur made a Limited Edition Porcelana box (750 boxes) containing a bar made of Porcelana from Venezuela and a bar made of Porcelana from Mexico.
Even though I’m not so enthusiastic about Coppeneur I simply had to buy one box as it is Porcelana [:)]
The Venezuelan bar is just as you expect it to be, very similar to Domori’s or Bonnat’s “interpretation”, really nice. The Mexican one is very special. It’s really fruity, reminds strongly of an Madagascan chocolate; not very “Porcelana-like” but interesting as well. All in all it is really good chocolate. The only unpleasant point, as always with Porcelana, is the high price: 100g for 16€ (but you get a very fancy white box with magnetic “lock”).
I would guess that it will be really hard to get it outside of Germany. Here in Bonn, which is really close to Bad Honnef (where Coppeneur is located) I have seen about a dozen of the boxes.

The Coppeneur Limited Edition Mexican and Venezuela Porcelana bars were very successful so now we’ve created a Limited Edition (very) Porcelana bar from Peru. Check out http://www.coppeneurchocolate.com to pre-order.

The Peruvian Porcelana harvest was too small to put through the Coppeneur winnowing machine so the beans were pealed by hand.

Hi Everybody;

Brad Churchill here from Choklat in Calgary.

I have a limited supply of Porcelana bars we’re making. If anybody’s interested you can order them right over the Internet for $9.99 per 90gram bar, and have a courier pick them up at our shop.

Our porcelana comes from an estate in Mexico.

Just an FYI that it’s available here in Canada, and MADE here in Canada.

I was recently informed by Coppeneur that only 44 Peruvian Porcelana Presentation Boxes have been allotted for North America. At $29.95 per box the Coppeneur Peruvian Porcelana is not unlike a ‘Cult Wine’ where wine enthusiasts pay large sums of money for spectacular and rare wines.

Fog City News in San Francisco and Cacao in Portland, who are allotted 5 boxes each, will have a draw to decide which customers will be allowed to purchase.
