Has anyone heard anything about La Molina and Oriol Balaguer (apart from what is already mentioned in the forum about Balaguer)? I have tasted some of their products (they are available here in Germany from http://www.oliva-verde.de/artikel.php?site=second&group=first&katID_d=145 ). Before I have seen them there I had never heard about the two. Does anyone know how they produce their chocolate? Or has anyone have any experience with them?
Websites are: http://www.lamolina.it , http://www.oriolbalaguer.com

hi mario,
i’ve tried a small bar of la molina and i thought it wasn’t half bad. i think it was a 50g 70% chocolate, but i don’t know any more than that. i’d be interested in finding out more myself.

Oriol Balaguer worked together with Ferrán Adria in the El Bulli for several years. So it is not that much astonishing that he is quite famous.
I’m not that much impressed by the bars, but the pralines are very special. Strange combinations, but all really good. Worth a try (if you do not mind the prices…).
I haven’t tasted that much from La Molina, so I’m not sure what to thing about it until now. They have a very big collection, including a range of milk chocolate Crus. I personally love the biscotti with chocolate and a chocolate cake they make. But let’s see.
