This verdict is based on the small tasting samples, not very much choc to form an opinion on, but I will try:
The Sambirano is quite dark, a very “chocolaty” texture and taste, but after some time a strong coffee taste emerges to total domination, which becomes somewhat harsh. This hasrhness reminds me of iron. The harshenss dies out towards the end and leaves the initial choc taste. There are some red fruits and acidity in the background all the time as well. To me, this choc is too much a crash of different tastes that compete, not balance, and the coffee taste is far too strong.
Mora Mora has a very strong, spicy aroma, but much milder taste, actually more sweet than choc taste. Thereafter emerges an annoying taste of mold which dominates. (It reminds of the mold taste in El Rey, but is much, much stronger). The taste is also somewhat burned. Again the tastes crashes – they create a choc with strong personality, but not a particurarly good taste.
My name is Polarbear and I am a chocoholic…
