Just recently tried this bar after waiting a couple years, and I am happy to say that they have worked on it a little.
The texture is MUCH better, with no detectable grittiness.
Although tannins are still present, they are less pronounced.
The actual flavour is overwhelmingly coffee, demonstrating a dark roast.
I thought of this bar as being quite terrible the last time I tried it, but could probably eat it as a quick munch now.
Anyone tried this bar recently?

I just recently bought the bar out of curiosity but almost forgot i had it. So when i read the post i quickly rummaged trough my stash to try it.
For a start I wouldn't call it bad. If anything it's a little bit unexciting.
From the aroma i would have thought it to have a stronger taste of wine, but luckily it turned out to be very subtle, but it still leaves a tannin aftertaste that i find a bit unpleasant.
About halfway through the bar i discoverd what alex_h described as peanut. This came as a nice surprise and encouraged me to find more undiscovered flavors, which i unfortunatly didn't. Nevertheless i nearly finished the whole bar.
So all in all: Not bad but rather unsensational with a slightly objectionable tannin aftertaste.
