Was it you Masur? There are certainly some great pics. How about a translation?

Masur:
A little of track maybe, but I have a question about swedish chocolate actually. You see I just happened to stop by a swedish TV-channel, an just got the end of a program about this lady with her own chocolaterie in Lund. Ever heard of it? Is the choclate any good, or just cute since it is “homemade”?

Green, I’ve created a new topic in sources called “Swedish Chocolatiers” with an answer:

By the way, I will receive a box of Porcelana del Pedregal the coming weekend.

Any more news on this?
Also, does anyone know if Porcelana del Pedregal is available anywhere in the US, in any format?

Sorry, I forgot to reply. There will be no smaller sizes of Porcelana Del Pedregal according to what I’ve been told. (Source is the the Swedish distributor)

Thanks for the reply. I guess I’ll just have to track down the full-sized version.

Hehe, I understand you allright, I sometimes wonder myself why I spent so much money. (All of my friends surtainly wonder a lot!)
But it really is an extremely good chocolate, not like anything I have ever put in my mouth. It is SOOO smooth. You can hold it between your fingers for half an hour without getting any stains, but the minute you put it in your mouth it melts like whipped cream. And I have to say it is even satisfaction just to look at it. It’s beautiful…
But, it’s a once in a lifetime experiece really. Don’t think I’ll ever buy it again.
And thank you so much for Berlin-info, I’m so excited it’s difficult to focus on my exam-reading…

I just had my first sampling of this, and I must admit that I was favorably impressed. It has that typical Valrhona red fruitiness along with a floral tone, but they’re both extremely mild. This chocolate is also laced with sweet spice, which was again quite mild and subtle. What I really appreciate about Porcelana del Pedregal is the end and finish, both of which are considerably more robust and assertive than the rest of the length. I love that lasting impression of pure chocolatiness it leaves on the palate. Overall, I think this is a worthy addition to the current Porcelana roster.
