Dear Alex,
I actually haven’t posted any new posts. The problem was that I decided to change my signature, which had appeared in my past 7 or 8 posts, and after I changed it I noticed that it didn’t change my old ones. So…I simply went back and edited it out. I didn’t change any other content though, just removed the signature. Anyway, after I did this, I noticed it said that I had posted, but really it was just that I edited those old posts.
Apologies for any confusion,
Alan

It’s a forum setting whether changing your signature changes the old ones or not. I thought it was better to keep them as they were at the time of posting, but I can change it if it’s generally felt it would be better the other way (so they will all change if you change it – is that clear?)

Well, I like the idea of signatures that change in old posts if you change them later, but it’d be good to know what everyone else thinks.

I think traceability and being open are important – we don’t have anything to hide, do we?
If only for sentimental reasons, to see how we started in this fast developing part of the world, would be nice to keep all as it is, and when anyone for any reason wants to change their signature, they could do in manually.
