I have not yet tried any of Amano chocolate. However, out of the others, my vote goes to DeVries.
Sadly, I have not had a chance to purchase his chocolate as of late. His 80% Costa Rican bar is one of my favourite 80%-range bars in the world and the 77% has some of the sharpest notes of any chocolate bar, making it a very unique bar.
His chocolate are pretty pricey though….$7.35 for 56 grams, I believe.

I loved the Vosges bar I tried… high percentage Venezuelan chocolate with walnits and plums. Very nice.
I like Amano too.

Well, I just had the blessing of receiving some Amano Chocolate. I am doing a chocolate tasting presentation in 10 days and I plan on using both the Madagascar and the Venezuelan chocolate. We are also going to do some El-Rey and Vintage Plantations. I must say, I really like the Amano Madagascar…incredibly fruity. Very very nice.

I loved Amano’s Madagascar…I’m right there with you.
Who are you doing a tasting for and how often do you do them?

I am doing a tasting for an oil company. One of the departments is having a team meeting and I get to be the fun act!! This will be my smallest group with only 15 people. I am hoping to get an invite from some of their other departments. There may be an opportunity to do some presentations for Franklin Templeton Investments. I will have to get myself on their radar screen!! Typically what happens is that when I do a presentation, someone will tell a friend at another company and then that company calls me to come and do one for them.
