Hi. I was wondering what the relationship is between Michel Cluizel and Catherine Cluizel. Do any of you know?
I recently requested a family member to bring back some Michel Cluizel chocolates from France. Instead he brought back Catherine Cluizel chocolates (La Fontaine au Chocolat). They are nice and all, but really don’t compare to the exotic flavors and melt-in-your-mouth textures from Michel Cluizel. Can anyone relate?

I am pretty sure La Fotaine au chocolat only stocks Michel Cluizel brand chocolates. Catherine may be the shop owner/server

No, I don’t think so, because the box (which said on it “La Fontaine au Chocolat”) also said “Catherine Cluizel”. Besides the quality of chocolate was totally different.

Cluizel is a family business and Catherine is the daughter of Michel. The products on sale are definitely Michel Cluizel, maybe they have some additional ones not part of the normal range? In fact the only website Cluizel have is http://www.fontaineauchocolat.com, a site for the shop where you can see all of Cluizel’s products on display.

Try http://www.chocosphere.com or http://www.echocolates.com, they both sell M. Cluizel with the echocolate sitre being the main imported I believe.
