I have to enquire from you chocoholics and chocolatieres, something that is of utmost important to business. Is it necessary for me to obtain a sanitation license for a small home based chocolate business?
I am extremely small, yet I want to do the right thing. I do the bulk of my business from late September to December. At this point in time, I would have to say I do about 50lbs of chocolates a year, so far. I know that is tiny but I really have everything I need at this point, in terms of supplies, cook books, stock and imprinted professional boxes and covers. Do I really need a sanitation license
in order to expand my business? I want to maintain my exclusivity as an artisanal chocolatiere. That is why I am not persuing the avenue of outleting my work to established stores. I need some feedback. please!
