Any suggestions why a confirmed chocoholic does not desire any when on holidays? Does heat numb the desire for chocolate?

My guess would be that when you’re warm and sweaty, you have no desire for the thick, creamy feeling of chocolate in the mouth. I find that during the summer, I have more of an urge to eat some at night after it cools slightly

Iced chocolate drinks with alcohol are nice on hot days. Frangelico, Amaretto, and ice work well together. Or an iced mocha, maybe with a little Bailey’s or a light rum. Chocolate ice cream?
These are not really CHOCOLATE, though, so maybe I’m beating around the bush… Hmm.. Cacao is from a very temperate place, and it was very popular there (south/central america) for ages before the spaniards came and added sugar, and the english added lots of milk…
Somehow, spicy things are popular in hot climates, so maybe you could go with the old Aztec recipe of cacao, chilis, and any of the following:
vanilla, corn meal, aniseeds, vinacaxtlides, mesasuchil, roses of Alexandria, pod of logwood, cinnamon, almonds, hazelnuts, honey.
(don’t know what some of those are, but hope to someday).
