Hi,
I am self taught in pastry and chocolate-work and am looking to ‘formalise’ myself by working for an established chocolatier in chocolate making in the UK.
Have made handmade chocolates commercially before and helped startup a chocolate business in Thailand. http://eatthatyellowsnow.blogspot.com/2007/02/tribute-to-thailand.html#links
However, my aim is to start my own business at home and require more experience and knowledge before making the jump.
Under Commonwealth rules, I can work in the UK for up to a year on a work-holiday visa. Looking for employment of 6 months and more. All I ask in return is enough pay to cover my rent, transport to and fro work and food. I will foot all visa + travel to UK expenses.
Already have a couch waiting for me in Hackney with some Thai friends doing their post-grads so settling in time will be minimal. I’ve lived in 3 different countries since 2004, so a new environment will not be a problem!
Therefore, if anyone here has any vacanies or can recommend me to a chocolatier, I will cook you a sumptous meal of Singapore delights. Hainanese chicken rice, prawn noodles, chilli crabs and char kway teow and more! Plus, you will have my eternal gratitude for helping me on this journey.
Cheers!
