Hello all,

Personally, I think that a subscription to this magazine NOW, instead of waiting, is the way to go. Not only is the focus on quality sure to improve any minor inconsistencies over time, but more importantly, in my opinion, is that this is the only magazine out there that takes the chocolate bar to be important enough to have its own magazine, and we need to support that. This magazine treats chocolate, and its production (every step from cacao tree growing to packaging), as something that is as important as wine, and as complex and interesting too. This is the first magazine out there to do for chocolate in paper publications what seventypercent.com has done for it on the web. I think that for the sake of fine chocolate everywhere, everyone here who is financially able to should support this magazine. At any rate, $32 USD for 4 issues of a magazine of this quality is not extravagant. I’ve subscribed.

I agree with Alan. When I discovered Cocoaroma, I subscribed literally two days later. (I was in San Francisco and I had a 12 hour drive back the next day.) I think it is worth subscribing to from the onset. Sure, they may have a few issues that they need to polish but it is very enjoyable as it is. Besides, if you keep your issues as I do, you will regret not having the first few issues a few years down the road.

The quality of this magazine is much less that of a magazine and much more like a book that you will want to keep on your shelf and refer back to from time to time.

Hi All,

I’ve just subscribed to the magazine as well and received Issues 1:1 and 1:3 today. Seems a very good publication and there’s not many like it about, so I’m happy to support it. Enjoyable to read with a bit of your favourite chocolate.

Does anyone know if Issue 1:3 is the most recent? It has the focus on Switzerland. Or has there been other issues since?

I’m excited to hear of this magazine and really want to start subscribing but I am having a hard time getting hold of anyone. I have sent an email and left 2 phone messages and still no response. I can’t subsribe online because a p.o. needs to be generated with their tax id number. Any suggestions??

I suggest giving them a few days. It took them a couple of days to get back to me, but afterwards I got the magazines in the mail within days.

E-mail seems to work fine. Both Legodude and a friend of mine has used it with sucess.
I’m not sure editor Alexander V. Morozoff has a backup reading e-mails when he’s absent.
A bit of patience might be needed. I subscribed online and got my first magazine within 7-10 days.

I can second the idea that patience will be rewarded. I have been e-mailing Alexandar Morozoff and he has been very helpful but it can take a day or two to turn around e-mails.

Hello!
Thanks to you guys, I learned of this new publication Cocoaroma magazine and I am now a subscriber! They were even nice enough to send me all of the back issues so I have it right from the first issue. Yes, it does seem to be more like a cookbook style of printing, (which I think is much sturdier) but I think the articles are clear, concise and informative. They are striving hard to give you the info. and not the hype. I think they are doing a great job and with NO ads.

Not me – I haven’t had the money taken off my credit card for the issue either. Doesn’t look promising.

Same for me. I subscribed in April but they have not taken any money off my account yet. They did send me the first issue, though. Strange.
