Selfridges In Oxford Street have them for about £25, best before end August – i.e. tomorrow! So I guess they might not be on sale for long. Quality will be ok I would think.

Wow, sounds like a good deal. It would be wise on Valrhona’s part to produce the Porcelana in smaller quantities.

Well, if they aren’t selling the product because the size is too large and the price too expensive, then there are some obvious problems that need to be addressed for both the real and business worlds.

The same problem occured in Sweden. One shop sold the box recently at half price and another opened the box a few months ago and sold the chocolate in smaller parts (not just the three layers).

I guess that was the idea – the ultimate in chocolate, not just a bar of Porcelana, but the most desirable present. Hence the special design of moulds as well.
But you r so right, it’s actually so obvious – why not to make it smaller as well, just one layer, without compromizing the design!
