Hello
I’d just like to introduce myself and my work to forum members. I’ve been working for many years developing a new technique of producing chocolate art.
As a way of taking things forward I’ve recently opened a small on-line business http://www.pinkandrae.co.uk to showcase what can be achieved with my new moulding technique – my first piece is based on the sculpture of the Kiss by Rodin
I am having some success with orders starting to come in but like everyone I need help with publicity and getting the name ‘out there’ especially on the internet.
If anyone knows good places to post/place information that would be great.

It’s taken a long time to get to this point and I think I have a great product but it’s a bit daunting to realise that the real work has only just started!!

Hello Roddy
The site looks great,I am sure you will sell a lot. I think as you are in London the free newspapers are always interested in new ideas. Is the material you are using food safe though? Can you do any complicated 3d models or is the range limited to Rodin at present?
Great idea though

Anton – thanks for the free newspaper suggestion – will follow this up

The moulding technique is perfectly food safe – this was one of the reasons it took so long to develop.

The product is currently limited to the Rodin piece as I thought this was such a great romantic icon I’d use it first.

Regarding other shapes – not absolutely anything but much more intricate than conventional moulding techniques allow – but set up costs are very high for a new shape so I would have to pretty sure that it will be popular before committing.

If anyone out there wants to suggest a new shape I’m always open to ideas!

Hello Roddy

a nice piece of chocolate! I can publish the news on my website, but it’s only in german. So you will not sell more if you can’t ship to Germany, Switzerland and Austria. But maybe it helps.

May I use one picture of the chocolate sculpture for the news message on my site?
