I'm looking for a recipe for all or parts of the Seven Veils Torte. The original recipe is apparently a secret, so it has to be "reverse engineered" and I don't find many of the online recipes convincing.
One of the layers is a Hazelnut Bavarian Cream, and calls for hazelnut paste. I don't know where to find that -- almond paste, yes, but not hazelnut paste.
Another layer seems to be a "crunchy" layer, and it's not clear what is supposed to be in it. (Some appear to use corn flakes.)
The one thing I think I have successfully found is a good recipe for the mirror glaze. Otherwise I'm not having much luck.
I'd appreciate hearing about any experience or insights.
