Seems there is more and more of a trend of people with small choc businesses posting text ads on the forum. That’s OK for me because it may tell me about chocolates I would otherwise not get to know.

But, then since this is a forum and not an ad board, the sellers must accept conterarguments to their ads.

Neuhaus is in my opinion far from a top quality brand. I have tried both their dark choc bars and pralines, and they stink. The bars are cheap forasteros (although not killed by vanilin), with a harsh, flat taste, and the pralines are very sweet with little real taste in the fillings – they taste almost the same regardless if they are supposed to have vanilla, praline, truffle etc filling.

I tried some Neuhaus pralines yesterday, and I must agree with you Polar. This i far from good. Thick shells, tastless fat buttercream and the bits are to large. One can only manage two og three.

The 70,5 % bar with orannge flavour is quite nice but otherwise it’s nothing special. In Sweden it is overpriced but in Germany (Düsseldorf/Köln) you can by it at reasonable prices.

He, he, advertising for “Belgian chocolate” on this forum is probably not the smartest thing to do – we know to much about it to get caught on the hook.

Using the forum as a commercial board is pretty much like asking to have one’s head cut off. At least we’re able to offer honest opinions. With that said, I couldn’t agree more with the other two/ three. Neuhaus to me is one among too many producers of gooey pralines.
