OfflineHi everyone, I am quite new to dark chocolate, but will be in London for an overnite this week and would like to visit a couple of shops and pickup a few plain bars and expand my knowledge.
Bars I have liked so far: Hotel Chocolat Chuao, Amano Madagasca and Amedei 9
I will be arriving/leaving Euston and staying at Camden Loch and will not have much time to shop + don't know my way about London or the tube service.
Ideally, I would like to be able to go to a shop that sells not just it's own brand (would be nice to manage one though), but would still want to get some William Curley, Paul A.Young, Valrhona, Domori and anything good.
(Is Fortnum & Masons own branded bars worth checking out and do they sell others?)
Is there a Chocolate & Love retail outlet?
Could anyone advise places to go (with nearest tube) and bars I should/must try.
Thanx

OfflineYou should visit Paul a Young at 33 Camden Passage, Islington (Angel is nearest tube station). He sells bars from Red Star Chocolate and a few other companies like Mast Brothers, probably also bars from Amedei, Amano, Valrhona and his own brand. I visited this shop October 2010. Duffy’s Chocolate Honduras Indio rojo 72% from Red Star Chocolate recently won a Golden Bean Award at Academy of Chocolate Awards.
Harvey Nichols at Knightsbridge is another distrubutor of Red Start Chocolate (The Fifth Floor Foodmarket). Her you can find Amedei and a few other chocolate brands.
You can find bars from L'Artisan du Chocolat at Selfridges , Oxford Street.
Amano is sold by Fortnum & Mason.

Maybe this can help a bit.
