Hi everyone, I’m in LA for a couple weeks, and I was wondering if anyone knows a good place to get good chocolate. (i’m particularly into bars; pralus, amedei, etc.)

Try out “Bristol Farms”. They have a very nice selection of fine chocolate bars and baking chocolate as well…

oh, I forgot to mention. When I went back last summer, I found out that Wally’s Wine carries a good variety of Amedei for prices comparable to chocosphere. They even have an in house chocolate person! Kind of exciting…

In Los Angeles, try TRADER JOE’S markets! Also, WHOLE FOODS. You’ll find Valrhona, Dagoba, Endangered Species, Trader Joe’s 73% and a lot of variety. A little northwest, but I am enjoying Tifa Chocolate in Agoura Hills. Just off the 101 at 5013 Kanan Road Agoura Hills, CA 91301. Pretty good selection of bars, very nice folks and lots of samples. Also Truffles and Gelato. http://www.tifachocolate.com/index.php
