Once I had the chance to buy a few bars of Omanhene milk chocolate. It is a very unique and fascinating chocolate. I have never tasted a chocolate like that before or later. It is really hard to describe its taste. But I really like it very much. It is made from Ghanaian Forastero beans (which makes it quite unique as well). The store where I bought it, does no longer sell it. I searched for a now source, but I have not found any until now. I have sent an email to the company today. But I though you all can help me finding a retailer. The best for me would be an address somewhere in Germany, but I’m happy about any addresses you know. Thanks in advance for your help!

I finally (21.2.05) get a response to my email with I had send to Omanhene. I just quote it here, so that everyone how is interested can see it:
Thank you very much for your kind words. I regret we are presently sold out of our retail chocolate bars — we have made some changes to the wrapping and have experienced production delays. We should be in position to fulfill orders for our European customers in the next 6-8 weeks. I deeply regret that we cannot supply you at present. Thank you very much for your understanding. Please contact me directly if I can be of service in the future.
That’s not quite what I wanted to know, but that explains why the only store I know which sells Omanhene, does not offer it at the moment. It is http://www.chocolatl.li . But the only ship to Switzerland and Liechtenstein.

Has anyone else tried the Omanhene chocolate? What is the current thought on this chocolate? Good, ok, bad?

Hi Alex!
Xocolat has an online shop as well, but they do not offer Omanhene there. Quite a long time ago I asked them, whether they do have some bars, but they didn’t. But I would be very happy if they do have them now. They used to ship to Germany as well.
I have just seen on Omanhene’s web page that they have some new products. I would really like to have some Omanhene again. Perhaps I should write them a Mail and ask for retailers in Europe. I find it hard to believe that they do not have any in Europe… .
