Can anyone help on how to colour cocoa butter. I want to put a touch of colour on my moulded chocolates but I am unsure how to do this. i have tried colouring tempered white chocolate but the colours are always a pastel shade, I want them to be brighter in colour. I hope someone can help[:)]

you can buy colored cocoa butter...Your country is not stated but in US Chef Rubber Las vegas has them. you just airbrush or dab it in the mold with your finger or paintbrush. See also http://www.tomric.com they have a demo

yes it is greasy because it is a fat. Once you melt the butter you can add your colour. If you use the coloured cocoa butter mix, you must temper the cocoa butter.

You can get coloured cocoa butter from deco relief, contact http://www.hbingriedients.co.uk as they are the UK agents, you can also buy fat soluble powders to colour your own if you want
