Hi all
I use polycarbonate molds and like to make filled chocolates for friends. I would like to get more artistic and paint the molds before I pour in my coating layer so the tops look cool.

I use only couveture chocolate so:
1. Where can I buy a high quality ‘paint’ (food color?) for chocolate?

Any suggestions or tips would be appreciated

You can also make your own cocoa butter paint. We did this on Sunday for our trial run of truffle eggs for Easter.

Just melt some cocoa butter and add some powdered food coloring. Let is set for a few minutes to fully hydrate the food color, else you will get little dark specks.

I will post a few pictures of our product when I get home.
