Dear seventypercent,

I’ve just been looking at the ‘Links library’ on your site and it’s a not very good and it’s out of date …

… ok, this is me, but it’s not very good is it? I never did get the time to work on it. Next year (2005) we’re really hoping to improve the content of this site, and we have some new contributors coming on board to help. A lot of you forum people know a lot of good links – there are a lot here already. What if the links section became a forum project? Could be collective or would be great with a controlling editor. For presentation they should stay where they are, but we could have forum threads for suggestions and to compile an initial list.

Like other areas of the site, e.g. the glossary, my aim is for links to be a community resource, hosted here but owned by the fine chocolate community.

So ideas and comments welcome. First place to start might be a better set of categories.

Just in case anyone missed it, it’s here http://www.seventypercent.com/pod/links.asp.

Just remove the dot at the end of the link:

Martin has a few ideas about the pod section and the section with links is part of that makeover.
The list of chocolatiers/chocolate shops I created exist as a database. This database must be improved and restructured depending on how it will be used on the website. I think Martin has started this effort.

Now you can find a few selected links in the pod section.

More than 220 links added in seven catergories:
- General
- Chocolate makers
- Chocolatiers
- Festival/Shows
- Museums
- Organizations
- Useful sites

It’s possible to select all links.

Links (beta version) can be found in The Pod section:
