By the way, I am Yahooable – you can get to me from the ‘Y’ link in the posts – if I’m around I’ll answer. Best to keep the serious debate in public though.
We have been thinking as a longer term plan of getting some live chat software on the site and having chat sessions with invited guests from the chocolate world. As a precursor to this, if anyone is interested we could set up a 1 hour Yahoo conference sometime to talk about fine chocolate. Anyone can participate, but I would like to publish the results on the site, so you would have to agree to that – I think it could be interesting though.
Let me know if anyone is interested.

The reason for Yahoo is simple – it’s the only one that you can get a direct link from the forum to launch into a messenger session – if the member has it in their profile. None of the other IMs allow this (or if they do the forum guys can’t get it to work.)
I want to get a chat running here, but it’s just finding the time to get a good one and build it into the site.
How about Sunday 6 June at 18:00 GMT (19:00 BST) for an hour? Hopefully this could fit into everyone’s days.
Let me know if your interested and we’ll work out the details from there.

Yeah, a Yahoo chat sounds fun and interesting. Suggest a series of times or offer a consistent time and day to hold them. That way, a wider selection of people can participate instead, because you won’t be arranging the chat according to one person’s schedule.

Ok, let’s try for 16:00 GMT (17:00 BST) on Sunday 6th June 2004. I’ll set up a chat room in Yahoo before that and post details here.
Even if it’s only a few of us to begin with, it will be a start.
I think if we all chat together that is great, but I think a permanent chat room would be hard to maintain. We may look at getting some software here later.

The great thing about postings here is we are building up a fantastic resource about fine chocolate available for anyone. It is almost becoming annoying for me to search for something in Google and to see a link to the forum!
