Where to buy fine chocolate

Finding fine chocolate is not always easy. Some varieties are available from our shop and we hope to expand our range over time, however we can't stock everything and currently only ship with in the United Kingdom, so here's a list of some of the better web sites and stores selling fine chocolate, from around the world:

Web sites

  • Seventypercent.com - of course our best recommendation!
  • Chocolate Trading Co - A well presented e-commerce site with a good range of chocolate products and some fine chocolate bars. UK based with world-wide shipping
  • Chocosphere - extensive range of fine chocolate featuring several of the top producers. US delivery only, but still a good reference.
  • Hypergourmet.com - quite a mixed bag from this site - Amedei and Valrhona alongside Kinder Surprise! Canadian site offering shipping in the US as well.
  • Chocolatesource.com - another US site with a good range of bars and makers. Also ships in Canada.
  • Chocmail.co.uk - Not a modern site design, but this UK based company does have a fair range of bars. Shopping appear to be UK only.

UK Stores

Unfortunately this list of specialist shops is rather London-centric, reflecting the availability of some fine chocolate brands around the UK at the moment.

  • Harrods
  • Selfridges
  • Chocolate Society shop
  • Rococco
  • Villandry
  • Mortimer & Bennett

The good news is that many British supermarkets are now carrying ranges of fine chocolate, including their own branded versions. Also health food stores around the country are carrying the many organic bars now available, and even charity shops like Oxfam are stocking 'Fair Trade' chocolate. Add to that the many corner stores and garage outlets and service stations selling Lindt 70% and you could say the outlook is definitely getting better!
